ViMai Kids
A learning app for ages 3–7: Vietnamese letters, hiragana, katakana, maths, thinking and 14 games
ViMai Kids is a learning app for children aged 3–7, made for Vietnamese families in Japan who want their child to keep Vietnamese and get used to Japanese. Every activity has voice guidance, so children who cannot read yet can play on their own. Vietnamese: all 29 letters taught by sound, 58 rhymes, 239 words and 119 short sentences for blending, word and sentence reading. Japanese: 114 hiragana and 130 katakana (basic, voiced, combined and small kana), with stroke order for the 92 basic characters so children can watch, trace and then write. Maths: counting, number recognition, comparing, addition and subtraction within 5 and 10, and shapes, with new questions every time and difficulty set by age. It also has thinking puzzles, a drawing and colouring corner, 12 topics with 192 picture cards to explore the world, and 14 mini games. No ads, no in-app purchases, no account, and it works offline.
A home-learning aid; it does not replace school and does not promise learning or developmental outcomes. The app collects no data; the child's profile stays on the device.
